The Chinese Heritage Foundation employs the
Minnesota Common Grant Application.
If you would like to submit a grant application to us, please observe the following guidelines that are appropriate for the amount of your request.
Grant applications may be sent to the CHF by paper or e-mail.
Completed applications can be mailed to the address on our
Contact Information page.
Electronic submissions should be in the form of Microsoft Word documents sent as an
attachment to
grantapp_at_chineseheritagefoundation.org. A Foundation representative will
acknowledge your application and a notification will be
sent to you after the semi-annual advisory committee meeting.
Grant applications are due March 15 and September 15 of each calendar year.
Grants awarded by the Chinese Heritage Foundation Fund so far have
been in the range of $100-$500. Grant requests for larger amounts will
be forwarded to donor advised funds within the Chinese Heritage
Foundation. Any grant recommendation from a donor advised fund is the
sole perogative of the advisor(s) for that fund.

Grant Application Guidelines
Applicant must be a legal 501(c)3 entity.
Requests from individuals or organizations that have not yet obtained their nonprofit status must list a 501 (C) 3 organization as their fiscal agent.
The purpose for the application should be project based. Currently the Foundation does not fund general operating expenses.
For grants up to $500, please forward the following:
Cover sheet from the MN Common Grant Application
Financial information for organization and proposed project/event
One-page narrative covering the three sections (Organization Information, Purpose of Grant and Evaluation) from the
MN Common Grant Application
For grants greater than $500, please forward the following:

Two to three page (maximum) narrative covering the three sections (Organization Information, Purpose of Grant and Evaluation) from the
