from Mona Wong, daughter of Albert Wing Juen Wong

Albert Wong immigrated to Minnesota as a teen and joined the U. S. Army in March, 1941 when he became eligible. He was inducted in Fort Snelling and sent to Camp Roberts, CA, for training. He served in the Pacific and was awarded a Bronze Star for heroism in the Philippine Islands Campaign. These photos were among his most prized possessions.
